George Washington University School of Education and Human Development doctoral student Catherine Wigginton Greene recently launched her fiction book, “Rebecca, Not Becky,” at an event at Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library in downtown Washington, D.C.

The book, which Wigginton Greene co-authored with Christine Platt, is about two upper-class, stay-at-home mothers—one white, one Black—living in a “suburb that explores motherhood, friendship and the true meaning of sisterhood amid the backdrop of America’s all-too-familiar racial reckoning.” Wigginton Greene and Platt will be going on tour with their book starting in mid-December.
