“We are proud to host the 2010 GreenGov Symposium in partnership with the White House Council on Environmental Quality,” says Meghan Chapple-Brown, director of GW’s Office of Sustainability.
“This three-day event will provide a unique opportunity for experts, decision-makers, and influential leaders to engage in dialogue about the challenges and possibilities for creating a smart, green and innovative federal government..”
Hosted by GW and the White House Council on Environmental Quality, the GreenGov Symposium will bring together a broad group of sustainability leaders on GW’s campus Oct. 5-7 to identify opportunities around greening the federal government.
The symposium will target a wide range of sustainability topics, including clean energy, water efficiency, climate and adaptation, sustainable buildings and greening the supply chain, and will take place in conjunction with the one-year anniversary of the signing of the Executive Order on Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance by President Barack Obama.
