The Atlantic 10 champion George Washington University women's basketball team will open the NCAA Tournament with a first round game against Ohio State at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.

The Colonials earned a No. 14 seed and will play the No. 3 seeded Buckeyes in the Spokane Regional. Also competing at the site of the first-round matchup is No. 6 seed LSU and No. 11 seed Central Michigan. The winners of each game will meet in the second round on Monday.

Ticket information for the first and second round games will be available on GetGWTix.com at 12 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 13.

GW earned its 18th all-time trip to the NCAA Tournament last weekend when it rattled off four wins over the course of the Atlantic 10 Championship. The title included upsets of No. 4 seed George Mason in the quarterfinals and No. 1 seed Dayton in the semifinals, punctuated with a rout of Saint Joseph's in the title game for its seventh A-10 tournament crown.

GW is 18-17 all time in the NCAA Tournament. The Colonials have reached the Sweet 16 four times, including consecutive appearances in 2007 and 2008, and made an Elite 8 appearance in 1997.

Ohio State entered the NCAA Tournament with a 27-6 record and earned the automatic bid from the Big Ten by winning the conference tournament. The Buckeyes have won seven games in a row and 11 of their last 12 heading into Saturday's game, which will be the first-ever meeting between the schools.
