The Third Annual GW Freshman Day of Service was held on September 11th, 2011, with over 2,000 students, staff and faculty participants in attendance.
The theme, "Brightening Schools, Building Community", focused on bringing service to local schools while introducing GW students to the D.C. community.
The event was promoted as part of President Obama's Interfaith Community Service Campus Challenge, to promote increased service, reflection, and interfaith understanding.
