Friends of George (FOG) Collective, the name, image and likeness (NIL) collective supporting the George Washington University student-athletes, is proud to announce the launch of its new brand and user-friendly website as the official NIL collective for GW Revolutionaries.
This initiative aims to enhance the support and empowerment of GW student-athletes, while also providing an experiential membership program that offers exclusive benefits to supporters, fans and alumni.
FOG Collective is a fan-driven and alumni-led NIL program for GW student-athletes, alumni and fans. Community members who commit their support to FOG are pledging to maximize opportunities for GW student-athletes to build their brand and earn compensation. In addition, community supporters gain access to exclusive events, autograph sessions, and more. Friends of George is powered by parent company Blueprint Sports.
With a fresh look and an updated online platform, FOG Collective’s rebrand and enhanced website reflect its ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive NIL opportunities for GW student-athletes.
“The ever-changing landscape of college athletics has shown us just how important supporting NIL can be. I’m excited for the continued empowerment of our student-athletes and supporting FOG is the most direct way our Buff & Blue community can do just that,” said Chris Caputo, men’s basketball head coach.
Caputo said that he has had one goal since coming to GW: “To deliver our student-athletes the best possible experience both on and off the court. Revitalizing our Friends of George Collective will continue to enhance our student-athletes experience through increased NIL opportunities.”
The newly unveiled website, accessible at fogcollective.com, serves as a gateway for fans, supporters and alumni to join their revolutionary membership program and get insights into the community supporting GW student-athletes. Supporters can join at one of two membership levels and gain access to exciting benefits such as:
- Quarterly Zoom calls with GW Athletics staff and guest appearances
- Tickets to a quarterly drawing of exclusive memorabilia
- Postgame autograph sessions with the team
Echoing the importance of NIL engagement, Caroline McCombs, head coach of GW women’s basketball, said she’s excited about the opportunities our young women will be afforded thanks to the work of FOG Collective. “We’ve seen the direct impact NIL can have on the student-athlete experience across the country and the importance of our alumni and GW community becoming engaged for our student-athletes,” McCombs said. “We are encouraged by the work that has already been done and look forward to continuing our partnership in the years to come.”
The website also features updates on upcoming events, details for which will be unveiled throughout the 2024-2025 athletic calendar.
