The GW Confucius Institute, the Sigur Center for Asian Studies, the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures, the Multicultural Student Services Center and the International Services Office were co-sponsors of the George Washington University 2018 Lunar New Year Celebration Feb. 15 at the Colonials Club in the Charles E. Smith Center. Participants enjoyed student performances in dance and music, samplings of food and speeches from GW President Thomas LeBlanc, Ben Vinson III, diretor of the GW Confucius Institute and dean of the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, Shoko Hamano, chair of the East Asian Languages Department, Timothy Kane, associate director of MSSC, and Jennifer Donaghue, director of International Services Office.
