It was a historic day on Saturday for the No. 20 George Washington gymnastics team at the NCAA Regional at the West Virginia University Coliseum in Morgantown, W. Va. For the second consecutive season, GW set a postseason scoring record with 195.625 points this year, while senior Chelsea Raineri (vault) and junior Cami Drouin-Allaire (all-around) qualified for the NCAA Championship as individual competitors.
It marks the first time that GW has sent multiple qualifiers to the NCAA Championship. Ms. Raineri is just the third gymnast to ever accomplish the feat, joining repeat qualifier Ms. Drouin-Allaire (2015, 2017--all-around) and J.J. Tolhurst (1994--all-around). GW Sports has complete coverage.
