GW has recently expanded its ticketing services.
Starting Aug. 30, tickets for university events will be available for purchase at the university’ new ticketing operations located at Lisner Box Office. Smith Center Ticketing will handle ticket purchases for all Charles E. Smith Center events.
The Ticketmaster outlet located in the lower level of the Marvin Center will sell Colonials Weekend tickets only through Aug.29. Starting Aug. 30, all ticket purchases will be redirected to the university’ new ticketing operations located at the Lisner Box Office and the Charles E. Smith Center.
Members of the GW community can visit Ticketmaster.com for tickets to all non-university related events.
Michael Peller, assistant vice president for events and venues, says the change better reflects the purchasing needs of the GW community.
“Lisner Box Office operations will now sell tickets for not only Lisner performances but also for on-campus, university-wide events, providing more efficient services,” says Mr. Peller.
Deborah Snelgrove, associate vice president for GW’s Division of Student and Academic Support Services, says Smith Center Ticketing will be enhanced by renovations currently underway.
“With the opening of the new Smith Center Box Office and the Concessions Concourse this fall, we are excited about the benefits to concert goers, fans of Colonials athletics, men’s and women’s basketball season ticket holders and other arena-sized event participants,” says Ms. Snelgrove.
“The benefits will include an attractive and spacious box office lobby for comfortable event access, more service windows for convenient ticket sales and roll call and a fantastic lower-concourse upgrade to the Charles E. Smith Center concessions experience,” she says.
