Protestors Gather at GW to Support Michael Brown

About two dozen students gathered in Kogan Plaza Tuesday to stage a “Die-In” demonstration to protest the decision by a Missouri grand jury not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of unarmed teenager Michael Brown.

The event was organized by several George Washington University student organizations to raise consciousness about the plight of many groups that the protestors think are underserved by agencies designed to protect them—such as the Ferguson, Mo., police force.

The demonstrators planned the event to last four and one-half hours, the approximate time that Mr. Brown’s body lay in the street after he was shot dead by Mr. Wilson.
