Are you in touch with GW?

GW Mobile 2.0, an update to the existing GW Mobile app for iOS and Android devices, puts even more of the George Washington University at students’ fingertips.

The app’s new Registrar module allows students to sign into the mobile GWeb Information System to view their courses, weekly schedules, academic holds, grades and academic records.

The updated app also includes a course catalog feature, which lists all classes numerically under alphabetically-categorized departments. After clicking on a course, you can view its description, instructors and sections being offered this semester.

“The Division of IT strives to provide GW community members with the technology tools and knowledge to help them achieve academic excellence,” said GW Chief Information Officer David Steinour. “We are excited to provide the GW Mobile app and its user-friendly new features.”

GW Mobile can be downloaded for free through the iOS App Store or the Google Play App Store. Users who already have the GW app will receive the update automatically for download. Those who do not have iOS or Android devices can now access a mobile-friendly website version of the app.

GW Mobile users can check out the app’s other features as well—including athletics news, a campus map, emergency updates, shuttle service times, a library link and more.

What GW Mobile updates can students, faculty and staff look forward to in the future? The university is developing additional functionality for the Registrar module that will allow students to add and drop courses through the app.
