The George Washington University Colonial Health Center (CHC) will offer additional office hours on Wednesdays during the fall 2015 semester.
The center, located on the ground floor of the Marvin Center, will open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays to better accommodate students seeking medical, mental health and health promotion and prevention services.
Service hours were expanded following conversations between student wellness staff, Division of Student Affairs administrators and Student Association leaders.
CHC will continue to provide services during normal business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Urgent care medical services also are available from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. CHC is closed on Sundays.
Mental Health Services at the Mount Vernon Campus are located in Room 119 of the Academic Building at 2100 Foxhall Rd.
Mental Health Services will offer individual and group counseling, urgent care, initial consultations and other services at the Mount Vernon Campus office, Room 119 of the Academic Building at 2100 Foxhall Rd., NW. Mount Vernon Campus office hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.
Students who require mental health assistance beyond office hours can speak with a counselor by calling 202-994-5300 and following the automated menu. Additionally, students who require medical assistance beyond office hours can speak with a clinician by calling 202-994-6827. Members of the university community also are encouraged to fill out a CARE Network form if they are concerned about a student.
