Tatyana Hopkins is a writer/editor for George Washington Today, where she covers the Elliott School of International Affairs, GW Law, the Graduate School of Political Management, the College of Professional Studies and the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Tatyana is originally from Bridgeport, Conn. She came to Washington, D.C., to attend Howard University, where she studied journalism. Upon graduation, she spent three months as a newspaper reporter in Detroit before returning to the District where she covered local government and politics for the Washington Informer. Tatyana has covered the Flint, Mich., water crisis, the 2016 Republican National Convention and the recent Hurricane Maria recovery efforts in Puerto Rico.
