Undergraduate George Washington University students in the class of 2020 will have the opportunity to continue their educational journey at the GW School of Business at a reduced cost.

GWSB officials announced that the school is offering grants for all graduating GW students interested in enrolling in a specialized master’s degree or credit-bearing graduate certificate programs. Beginning the fall 2020 semester, undergraduate students from all GW schools and colleges who graduate in May 2020 can receive 25 to 50 percent off of tuition costs for the GWSB program of their choosing.

GWSB Dean Anuj Mehrotra said the uncertain market resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic inspired him to enhance access to the market-driven education programs that the school offers. The educational opportunities from this grant would enable re-skilling and up-skilling in the shifting business environment, he said.

“Given the current environment, this grant program offers an option for seniors who are graduating into a difficult job market. We are inviting them to take advantage of our portfolio of graduate business programs and continue their education at GWSB at a reduced tuition rate,” Dr. Mehrotra said. “None of them imagined graduating into this challenging situation, and this program hopefully provides them an opportunity to continue to strengthen their skills and expand their knowledge.”

The tuition grant applies to specialized master’s degree programs such as a Master of Accountancy, a Master of Science in project management or a Master of Human Resource Management, among others. Eligible graduate certificates range from business analytics to digital marketing and communications. There are also numerous eligible programs that are offered fully online, such as the Master in Management program or the graduate certificate in global capital.

The grant will apply toward the tuition of all courses taken for the program as long as they are completed no later than the spring 2023 semester.

Students interested in learning more about applying for the grant and starting graduate courses at GWSB can speak to a graduate academic advisor and register for special information sessions, which will happen on May 12, 14, 18, 20 and 22. Email the GWSB Graduate Admissions Office at [email protected] or call 202-994-1212.
