Fresh on the heels of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign kick-off, George Washington University graduate students joined NBC Political Director Chuck Todd Sunday at NBC’s D.C.-based studio for “Meet the Press.”

The 11 GW Graduate School of Political Management and School of Media and Public Affairs students proved their political prowess as members of the Princeton Review-ranked “most politically active” student body, offering up questions and commentary via Twitter during a live taping of the show.

The “political dynasties” themed episode included guests John Podesta, chairman of Clinton’s campaign, Brett McGurk, deputy special presidential envoy to the global coalition to counter ISIL, and a video-call appearance from former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The discussion ranged from an in-depth look at the candidates in the developing presidential race and analysis of U.S. military strategy in Iraq to a review of the House of Representatives vote Friday that blocked a trade bill and a tribute to the late Tim Russert, the former “Meet the Press” host who died in 2008.

Following the Twitter discussion, students joined Mr. Todd for a Q&A on the set and a behind-the-scenes view of NBC’s longest-running political news program.

This is the second “Tweet the Press” event hosted by GW with Mr. Todd who attended GW from 1990 to 1994 and joined the GW School of Media and Public Affairs National Council of Media and Public Affairs Council last October.
