Some of the nation’s top journalists and newsmakers will take center stage at GW this semester as part of a series co-presented by the university and D.C. bookstore Politics and Prose.

The series kicks off on March 27 with Michael Isikoff, chief investigative correspondent for Yahoo News, and David Corn, Washington bureau chief for Mother Jones. The journalists’ book, “Russian Roulette,” is an in-depth investigation into how Moscow hacked into American democracy to influence the 2016 presidential election. Tickets are $30 online with the book included. Students can purchase $5 tickets with GW ID at the Lisner Box Office; those tickets do not include the book.

On April 18 alumna and CNN commentator Sally Kohn, B.A. ’98, returns to campus to talk with Candy Crowley about her book, “The Opposite of Hate.” In it, Ms. Kohn writes about the tone of political discourse in the Trump era, the roots of cultural hate and how to dial back on anger. Tickets are $10 or $35 with the book. Student tickets, which do not include the book, are available for $10 at the Lisner Box Office with GW ID.

Former FBI Director James Comey will speak with Mike Allen, co-founder of Axios, on April 30 about “A Higher Loyalty.” The book details high-stakes episodes from his two decades in public service, including prosecuting the mob, changing U.S. policy on torture, overseeing the Clinton email investigation and exposing ties between the Trump campaign and Russia. Tickets will be on sale Tuesday at noon at the Lisner Box Office for those with GW IDs; student tickets are $10, not including the book; other GW community member tickets are $30 and include the book.
