The George Washington University hosts five of the nation’s top CEOs Friday for the Washington Post Live event “Executive Actions: Steering Companies and Reimagining Industries.”

The panel of C-Suite heavyweights—from HBO, Siemens USA, MGM Resorts International, KPMG International and Johnson Publishing Company—will convene for a discussion of the challenges and opportunities of modern business caused by the shifting landscape of television, technology and diversity.

The limited-seating event is open to the university community and general public.

Registration is available online.

"We believe there’s no more fitting way to kick off the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner weekend than with a serious discussion about the challenges the country’s corporate leaders face,” Steve Hills, president and general manager at The Washington Post, said in a release. “Private sector leadership plays an increasingly important role in our country's future."

Panelists will be Siemens USA Chairman and CEO Eric Spiegel, Chairman and Chief Executive of MGM Resorts International James Murren, Johnson Publishing Company Chief Executive Desiree Rogers, HBO Chairman and Chief Executive Richard Plepler and KPMG International and KPMG-US Chairman and CEO John Veihmeyer.

Lois Romano, editor of The Washington Post Live, Karen Tumulty, Washington Post national political correspondent, and Cecilia Kang, national staff writer for media, entertainment and technology, will moderate the panel.

GW School of Business Dean Linda Livingstone will offer opening remarks.

“It is an honor for the university to host such a distinguished panel of CEOs who can share their insights into the future of the modern, global economy,” Dr. Livingstone said. “This discussion promises to be inspiring, informative and thought-provoking.”

The event will be live streamed online. Follow the discussion on Twitter with #executiveactions.
