More than 200 elderly District residents attended the George Washington University’s 13th annual Senior Prom Saturday evening, dancing the night away in a transformed, luau-themed Marvin Center Grand Ballroom. Organized by the Office of Government and Community Relations, the annual event features live entertainment, food, dancing and lively conversation among elderly citizens from the District of Columbia and GW students.

One attendee, Olive Hopkins, said she and her friends have been coming to the Senior Prom for more than a decade.  “I haven’t missed a year,” she said. “I always enjoy it so much.” (Photos by Zachary Marin for GW Today.)
