George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management students added a social media boost to NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday as they live tweeted questions and comments with moderator and NBC Political Director Chuck Todd.

The “Tweeting the Press” event was a perfect fit for the 16 media savvy students who weighed in on a discussion of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, President Barack Obama’s Prayer Breakfast speech, the debate over vaccinations and other topics using #GWU and #MTP.

The pairing between GW students and Mr. Todd is a natural. For the second consecutive year, the Princeton Review named students at GW the “most politically active,” and Mr. Todd attended GW from 1990 to 1994. He joined the SMPA’s National Council of Media and Public Affairs in October. The council supports innovative learning experience for students.
