GW Remembers 9/11: Moment of Silence and Remembrance Vigil

Please join members of the George Washington University  community in honoring the memory of the nine GW alumni who died in the Sept. 11 tragedy as well as all of those who lost their lives as a result of the attacks that day.

At 8:46 a.m. on Sept. 11,  the George Washington University will observe a moment of silence to remember the victims and heroes of 9/11.  It is asked that, to the extent possible, all members of the GW community pause in their academic and professional activities for one minute at 8:46 a.m.  The carillon bells on the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses will toll for the duration of the moment of silence.

The university will also host a 9/11 Rembrance Vigil on University Yard to honor the nine GW alumni who died in the Sept. 11 tragedy, as well as all of those who lost their lives as a result of the attacks that day.  The observance is open to the entire GW community and all friends of the university. The rain location is in the Marvin Center Grand Ballroom.Click here for more information.
